DIVISIBILITY RULES WORKSHEETS

How do you know if a large number is divisible by 2? This is simple. You just need to check the last number. If the last number is even or 0 then it’s divisible by 2. Example: 322, 514, 846, 978, 20. Similarly there are different rules for other numbers. We will learn all divisibility rules from 3 to 12 and apply them in these worksheets. Follow the table carefully.

Number

Divisibility Rule

3

A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 3

4

If the last two digits are divisible by 4, then the given number is divisible by 4

5

A number is divisible by 5 if it’s last number is 0 or 5

6

If a number is divisible by both 2 and 3, then the number is divisible by 6

7

If the difference between twice the last number and the other digits of the number is divisible by 7, then the number is divisible by 7

8

A number is divisible by 8, if the last three digits of the number is divisible by 8

10

Any number whose last digit ends with a zero is divisible by 10.

11

From the given number, separate the digits in odd places and even places. Sum up the digits of different groups. Find the difference. If the resultant number is divisible by 11, the given number is divisible by 11. You have other small tricks for odd numbers and even numbers. Check the chart given below for detailed explanations.

12

If a number is divisible by both 3 and 4, then the number is divisible by 12

Detailed examples for all the numbers are given in the charts shown below. You can print and paste them for reference. Pick a few numbers and apply these rules to check if they are divisible by numbers 2 to 12 with the help of the examples. Worksheets here emphasize the same concept. You will also get to know the factors of numbers when you work on these pages. Download them all.
